I have a red sheath dress that the belt would look lovely with. BTW, that belt is amazing all by itself. I would also be tempted to just put it into a frame and hang it on the wall.
ReplyDeleteFirst I'd like to say that that belt is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I don't currently have anything to wear that belt with, but I would consider it inspiration for a new garment made especially for it.
Congrats on 100! I look forward to reading your blog regularly now (I just saw this on Sew Retro).

The belt is a work of art and it would be an honor to own it if I am lucky. Don't have the right dress for it but the belt will be the inspiration for one.
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog by way of Sew Retro and am off to read more now.
Thank you for making something so pretty for the giveaway.
That belt is insanely gorgeous! I have a white cotton dress that is a little plain on it's own, so it would be perfect for jazzing it up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100 followers!
This would be perfect with my pale pink mock-wrap dress. This belt is absolutely beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a beautiful and unique item! I have this great plum wiggle dress from the 60s that it'd would look Great with.
ReplyDeleteIt's simply stunning and I would wear it with EVERYTHING! I think it would look especially delightful with a tiered silk skirt, cowboy boots and a flowy top, photographed in a grain field against an expansive blue sky. Oh what dreams!

Wow, I think it would look brilliant with my royal blue ponteroma dress that I love so much as its a real statement piece that I wouldn't want to over dress. Congratulations on your followers! x
ReplyDeleteThat belt is amazing! I have so many dresses to wear it with. The one that comes to mind first is a black lace dress that I wear with my 1920s vocal trio Bootless Betties. I could really snazz that dress up with this belt!

Congrats on your blog. I have a mock croc and suede skirt I am currently working on. This lovely belt would soften up its "toughness"

I'm another that doesn't have anything to wear with it, but man I would love to create an outfit around it.
ReplyDeleteElaina
I have a LBD that it would dress up wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see this belt on a black dress
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this beautiful belt with an emerald green 'sun ray' pleated dress. I bought the fabric yesterday, and am going to send the pieces to Melbourne to be 'sun ray' pleated. I will post a photo of the result :-)

This is gorgeous, I'd wear it with a great pair of heels and nothing else ;o)
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful! I'd wear it with two things - my navy and cream polka dot 50's full-skirted dress, and with my ivory/cream and purple leopard print dryndl skirt with a silky blouse. And then I'd probably also wear it with a plain black skirt and cream blouse. And with anything and everything in my wardrobe - too stunning to only be worn on special occasions!
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower. I would love to win that belt too. I am AdithisAmma from Adithis Amma Sews

ReplyDeleteWow. This is the most gorgeous belt I've ever seen. You did a fantastic job. What would I wear it with? I have a nice black skirt and cream colored blouse that would do, I think. I see others have had the same idea, so I must be on the right track. Thank you for the draw, and good luck to everyone!
ReplyDeleteso beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw your post on Craftster and first fell in love with the dress.. then scrolled down and soo the belt closer - gorgeous!

Greetz!
I love this belt. I think I'd have to make a dress to do it justice. I'd love to try.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
I would love that belt. It's beautiful. I've got a few gathered skirts I could wear it with, or even with a pair of jeans. It's so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI can't think where I would wear this belt or what I would wear it with but it is truly stunning and as ever I am super impressed with your talent. I won't enter the competition but I am happy to retweet it for you x
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I would wear it with jeans, or a dress.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! That belt is something else. I'd wear it with almost anything in my wardrobe. Blush and cream are my main neutrals at the moment and this is such a gorgeous piece!
ReplyDeleteWow! Stunning! That belt is pure love!! I would wear it with a tshirt and jeans to dress it up or a dress if I wanted to be extra fancy :]
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I'd love to wear it with a 40s gown to my wedding! Beautiful...
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of you since long time ago. This belt is just beautiful, I will attend the baptism of a nephew in two months, I think that belt would be sensational with a navy blue dress that I sewed recently.
ReplyDeleteOh I can't believe I nearly forgot to enter! Such a stunning belt! I would wear it with a gorgeous 30s lace jacket I bought on Ebay for 99p because its lining had shattered (I seem to have delusions of being a vintage clothing restorer despite beginner sewing abilities...). That belt looks a perfect colour match and I would wear wide legged trousers with the jacket. Thank you for the opportunity. Catherine
