Progress on Bolero and I decided I give Twitter a go

I have created a twitter account last night. I never thought I would but thought it might be a good idea for small updates and maybe outfit/hair posts if I think they are worth showing. Please follow me if you like (see on the left hand side of the blog) and leave me a comment/link to yours as well.
I also made a bit of progress on my bolero knitting project which you can read more about on the knit along blog. It's slowly but surely growing bigger. If it will ever transform into a bolero, we will have to see. So far it's looking promising:

  1. I added you to my twitter earlier on. I use mine for my sewing and my photography. It's @sanyflame, in case you're interested. By the way, I'm really struggling the the Burda 8488 trousers but will not give up.

  3. Suzy: have you started the trousers yet? Let me know where you are stuck. Maybe I can help.

  4. My main issue is that one of the legs is twisting forwards, so the inner side seam is twisting forwards. The other leg is fine, seams all hang parallel and straight. I've undone and re done the inner leg seams a few times now but it's still happening :( I booked myself onto a SOS sewing drop in to see if I can get some help. I keep thinking that even with my careful cutting I must have cut something wrong. It's my first pair of trousers :/

  5. Oh, I don't know what happened there. My version was easy as pie to make and it was my first trouser attempt, too.
What fabric are you using? I have cut fabric before (trying to make the most of what I had) not paying attention to the grain. That might be the problem. But if you have cut everything as marked, I don't really know why this is happening. Is it a stretchy material?

  6. I thought it could be wrong grain too but the other leg is fine and i've cut the pieces with the fabric folded. I'm using a non-stretchy medium weight wool blend. It's definitely something I'm doing wrong but decided to give myself a break. I'm going to a SOS sewing drop in next Sat and hopefully get some advice. Thank you!!
