Another dress finished. This time in a black and white printed cotton. I used this pattern before for
this dress which I have worn many times and absolutely love it. This is my Autumn version of it now. I used red buttons for a little bit of contrast as the as the pattern swallows a lot of detail.
I went for the fitted skirt option again. This way I don't have to worry about skirt flying action in the Autumn weather.
You can see the collar a bit better in the flesh. Doesn't seem to photograph very well.
And a shot of my hair. Made an effort again.
You look great. The dress is very cute and those buttons are a nice touch. And I love your hair!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the peter pan colar and the red buttons are so attention grabbing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The red buttons make all of the difference. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThose buttons and the collar! Love it!
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind a man commenting I would like to let you know how impressed I am with your look and your blog. This black and white dress would look great on any number of women, but it looks absolutely stunning on you because you have brought together so many other crucial elements - classic bone structure, pale skin, red lips, gorgeous hair style, jewelry and accessories. This is truly an example of vintage glamour done right! I applaud you, Bea, for bringing back to life an era that I lived through and sorely miss!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet comments. I very much appreciate them. And thank you Shady Del Knight for your compliment. You know how to make a lady blush.
