Thank you Invisible Flower

I entered a give away on Andrea's blog Invisible Flower a few weeks back but didn't win. However, the lovely Andrea got in touch after the winner was drawn and offered me some of her vintage sewing patterns. I received them in the post yesterday and can't believe how many she send me. Thank you sooooo much. That is so very generous of you. I promise to sew them all.
Andrea will be coming to the UK some time this year. Hopefully we can meet up in London and I can take her sightseeing in return. Please have a look at her blog. She sews beautifully.
Thanks again!!!
I also received a new fabric order. Any suggestions on what fabric to use for what pattern?

The whole lot
Red and navy spotty cotton an matching lining.
I am not sure about this yet. It's a mint Minnie Mouse print. I had to buy it because it was so cute but what will I make from this? And will I actually wear it? We'll see.
These two are my favourite. Pink and green rose print. I love small prints. I hope I won't end up turning them into more shirt waist dresses. I always do. The plan is to use it for one/two of the new vintage patterns. Any suggestions?

  1. Yay, I'm glad the patterns arrived safely! And I LOVE the pink and green rose prints. It would be neat to do something with facings that might show, or contrasting trim, so that you could make the dress in one of the fabrics and let the other be an accent. 40s pattern illustrations often show this kind of detail, albeit with two solids, not prints ...
